Canada Post

Our focus was to represent the interests of the Director – Project Delivery (who was located in Ottawa) for Canada Post’s new 700,000 SF processing facility through the design build process. This required high-level support to the existing Canada Post and project management teams to ensure that the project was delivered on time (very aggressive schedule) and that the significant amount of processing equipment ($200,000,000 in addition to Project Budget), was properly integrated into the building design and construction process.

Additional duties included: interfacing with YVR; managing the rehabilitation process for Canada Post’s existing facility in downtown Vancouver in preparation for handover to the new owner; negotiations with the City of Vancouver for the hand back of a tunnel connecting the facility with the CPR Station on the waterfront; managing the coordinated moves taking place throughout the beginning of 2014 of the numerous Canada Post departments from their existing facilities; and mediating issues between the contractor, the project management team and the Canada Post group, as well as YVR and the City of Richmond.
